About these terms

These terms govern your use of franchisefuel.ca, operated by FranchiseFuel Consultants Inc.. By using the site you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Our service

We provide franchise consulting. Our service is complimentary to franchise candidates; we are compensated by franchise brands when a placement is made. The same arrangement applies whichever brand you choose, so our recommendations are not tied to a bigger fee.

Not an offer to sell a franchise

Information on this site is for education only. It is not an offer to sell or the solicitation of an offer to buy a franchise. A franchise offering is made only through the franchisor's disclosure document (FDD or provincial disclosure document) in jurisdictions where it is registered or exempt, and subject to the waiting periods the law requires.

No financial, legal or tax advice

We are not lawyers, accountants or lending institutions. Investment figures, earnings information, territory availability and funding options come from brands and partners and can change. Before you sign anything, have the agreement reviewed by a franchise lawyer and the numbers reviewed by an accountant.

Brand listings and submissions

• If you submit a brand for review, you confirm you are authorised to do so and that the information and documents you provide are accurate.
• Listing is at our discretion. We may decline, edit for length and clarity, or remove a listing.
• You keep ownership of your trademarks and materials, and grant us permission to display them for the purpose of presenting your brand to candidates.

Accounts

If you create an account, keep your credentials confidential and tell us promptly about any unauthorised use. We may suspend accounts used unlawfully or abusively.

Acceptable use

• Do not scrape, copy or resell our directory content.
• Do not upload malicious code or attempt to gain access to systems or data that are not yours.
• Do not submit false information or impersonate anyone.

Third-party links

The site links to brand, funding partner and scheduling services we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

Limitation of liability

The site and its content are provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or business decisions made in reliance on information found here.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable federal laws of Canada, and the courts of Alberta have jurisdiction over any dispute.
