Who we are

FranchiseFuel Consultants Inc. is an independent franchise consulting firm based at Suite 206E, Heritage Square, 8500 Macleod Trail SE, Calgary, AB, Canada T2H 3A1. This notice explains what personal information we collect on franchisefuel.ca, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Contact details you give us: name, email, phone, city, state or province, ZIP or postal code, country.
• Franchise context you choose to share: goals, investment capital, timeline, preferred industries, brand or company details.
• Assessment answers, chat transcripts from our assistant, and documents you upload for a brand review.
• Technical data: pages visited, referring website, and campaign parameters, used to understand how people find us.

Why we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and provide franchise consulting.
• To match you with franchise opportunities and, where relevant, funding partners.
• To send the follow-up communications you asked for. Every message includes an unsubscribe option.
• To keep records required for our professional and legal obligations.

Consent and your choices (PIPEDA and CASL)

We collect your information only with your knowledge and consent, which you give by submitting a form on this site. We record the consent wording, the date and the channel.

You can withdraw consent, ask for a copy of the information we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will action the request and confirm in writing, normally within 30 days.

Commercial messages we send identify us, include our contact details and an unsubscribe link, as required by Canada's anti-spam legislation.

United States residents

If you live in a US state with a consumer privacy law (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas or Virginia), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may opt out of the sharing of your information for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information. Contact us at the address above to exercise these rights; we will not discriminate against you for doing so.

Who we share information with

Some providers operate in the United States, so your information may be stored or processed outside Canada and may be accessible to authorities there under local law.

• Franchise brands you ask us to introduce you to, and only after you agree to the introduction.
• Our franchise network partner FranServe, where a buyer enquiry needs to be registered so the right brands can be presented to you.
• Funding and service providers you ask us to refer you to.
• Service providers that host our website, database and email delivery, under agreements requiring confidentiality.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet legal and professional record-keeping obligations, then delete or anonymise them. You can ask us to delete your record sooner.

Security

Access to your information is restricted to our consultants and administrators who need it. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored in access-controlled systems. No method of transmission is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive financial documents by unencrypted email.

Children

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

We may update this notice. The date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
